- ‘Sé eadaí scoile Choláiste Daibhéid ná: Geansaí Liath scoile le suaitheantas na scoile, carbhat scoile, bríste dúghorm/sciorta dúghorm fillte, bróga dubha, seaicéad scoile, t-léine dúghorm polo scoile, Léine liath.
- Ba cheart do na broga bheith ina mbróga scoile dubha simplí. Ní cheadáitear broga reatha. N.B. Ar chúiseanna praicticiúlachta, compóird agus sábháltachta ní cheadófar broga le sáilí arda ná broga ardáin, sé sin le rá ní cheadófar sála bheith níos airde ná 6cm ó bhonn na sáile go dtí an bhróg féin.
- Ba cheart do fháinní cluaise a bheith simplí agus gan a bheith ró-mhór. Ní cheadáitear níos mó ná péire amháin agus ba cheart iad siúd a chaitheamh ar liopa na cluaise amháin. Ní
cheadaítear do bhuachaillí fáinní cluaise &rl a chaitheamh. - Ba cheart do sheodra cosúil le bráisléidí agus fáinní láimhe a bheith teoranta, sé sin gan níos mó ná ceann nó dhó a bheith á chaitheamh agus ba cheart go mbeidís simplí ó thaobh stile de. Tá sé ceadaithe siogairlín simplí a chaitheamh. Ní cheadáitear ‘seodra culaithigh’ ná aon seodra eile nach bhfuil luaite anseo.
- Bítear ag súil go gcloífidh daltaí na scoile leis an gcód seo fad ‘s atá éadaí na scoile á chaitheamh acu, sé sin ar scoil agus taobh amuigh den scoil.
- Ní cheadaítear stíleanna gruaige atá thar fóir. San áireamh anseo tá dathanna cosúil le bán atá thar fóir nó dathanna nach dathanna nádúrtha iad.
- Cruthófar deacrachtaí mura gcloítear le caitheamh na n-éadai scoile mar atá leagtha síos. (Is féidir le dalta a chur abhaile –tar éis dul i dteangbháil leis an tuismitheoir- ar aon lá faoi leith mura bhfuil se/sí ag cloí le cód na n-éadaí scoile ar an lá sin). Iarrtar ar thuismitheoirí comhoibriú leis an scoil chun cód na n-eadaí scoile a chur i gcrích go hiomlán.
Tá cead ag daltaí culaith reatha na scoile a chaitheamh ar an lá corpoideachas. Muna bhfuil culaith reatha na scoile ag dalta ba cheart dóibh na ghnáth-eadaí scoile a chaitheamh. Níl sé ceadaithe ag daltaí a culaith reatha féin a chaitheamh.
Má thagann dalta isteach ar scoil aon lá gan na héadaí cearta, caithfidh siad dul go dtí an Oifig agus an chuid sin den éide scoile atá in easnamh a fháil ar iasacht ón Oifig.
School Uniform
The school dress code is as follows:
- Uniform: Grey school jumper with school crest, school tie, navy pants/pleated skirt, black shoes, school jacket, navy school poloshirt, grey shirt.
- Shoes should be black. Runners are not allowed. For reasons of practicality, comfort and safety shoes with high heels or platform shoes are not allowed. A shoe with a heel greater than 6 cm is not permitted in the school.
- Ear-rings should be simple small studs. Only one pair is permitted and should be in the lobe of the ear. Boys are not allowed to wear ear-rings.
- Limited wearing of simple jewellery is permitted i.e. bracelets and rings. The student should not have more than one or two. Students are permitted to wear a simple pendant. Jewellery is not permitted on the uniform, nor is any jewellery not mentioned above.
- We expect that students will adhere to the code while they wear the uniform, both in school and outside school.
- Excessive hair-styles are not permitted. This includes hair that is bleached or colouring that is inappropriate. i.e. colouring that is not natural.
- Difficulties arise when the code in relation to uniform is not adhered to. (A student can be sent home after consultation with the parents on any particular day that a student does not maintain this code. We value parental cooperation in this matter.
Students may wear the school track-suit on the day they are timetabled for PE. If a student does not have a school tracksuit he/she must wear the school uniform.
If a student comes to school any day without part of the school uniform, they must go to the Office, where they will receive it on loan for the day
