Club Luthchleasaíochta Ag Dul Ó Neart Go Neart
Tá club luthchleascaíochta na scoile ag dul ó neart go neart le traenáil ag tarlú ar an gCéadaoin ag 13:25 go dtí 14:25. Tugann sé seo deis iontach dár ndaltaí a bheith aclaí agus amuigh lena cháirde.
Dé gnáth téimid ar rith beag go dtí pairc áitiúil agus deantar an tréimhse traenála ag cleachtadh luas agus neart.
Lé déanaí bhíomar ag an gCómórtas Luthchleasaíochta do Scoileanna Iardheisceart na Mumhan. Thógamar foireann laidir linn le 25 dalta ann. Deirigh go hiontach linn agus fuaireamar áiteanna do thriúr sa chéad chomórtas eile a bheidh ar siúl i bPort Láirge ar an 23ú Feabhra.
Is iad Déan Ó’hEafaigh (bliain 2) sna buachaillí Sóisir, Nessa Wheeler (bliain 5) sna Cailiní Idirmheánach agus Aoibhinn NÍ-Chearnaigh (bliain 2) sna Cailiní Sóisir a bheidh ag dul ar aghaidh.
Idir an dhá linn leanann an traenáil ar aghaidh gach Céadaoin.
The school athletics club continues too go from strength to strength and training takes place Wednesdays from 13.25-14.25. Our students have an excellent opportunity to be fit and active with their friends.
We usually do a short run to a local park where we do a strength and speed training session.
We recently took part in the Southwest Munster Athletics Competition. We had a strong team of 25 students who all did extremely well. Three students will now go forward to the next stage of the competition in Waterford on February 23rd.
Dean Ó hÉafaigh (2nd Year)
Junior Boys, Nessa Wheeler (5th Year) Intermediate Girls and Aoibhinn Ní Chearnaigh (2nd Year) Junior Girls are those going forward to Waterford.
Training continues for everybody on Wednesdays!
