Bronnadh Speisialta ó Ard-Mhéara Chorcaí
Bhí tionól uile-scoile speisialta againn ar an 15ú Bealtaine chun slán a rá le ‘Na Laochra’ agus iad ag taisteal go dtí an Ungáir. D’fhreastal Ard-Mhéara Chorcaí, Cllr. Tony Mac Gearailt agus Cathaoirleach an Bhord Bainistíochta, Máire Bn. Uí Bhriain, ar an ócáid. Labhair an tArd-Mhéara linn mar gheall ar an bród atá ag muintir Chorcaí orainn agus sinn ag imeacht go Debrecen ar son na hÉireann. Bhronn sé Teastas Speisialta ar an bhfoireann ó Mhuintir na Cathrach ag guí gach rath orthu sa First Lego League Invitational. Bronnadh Teastais Éachta orthu ón scoil freisin.
We had a special whole-school assembly on May 15th last to say goodbye to ‘Na Laochra’ before they flew to Hungary. The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Tony Fitzgerald and the Chairperson of the Board of Management, Máire Bn. Uí Bhriain, attended the assembly. The Lord Mayor spoke to us about the pride the people of Cork have in us as we leave for Debrecen to represent Ireland. He presented the team with a Special Certificate on behalf of the People of Cork City wishing us every success in the First Lego League Invitational. They were also presented with certificates of achievement from the school.
