\nCD Factor na Nollag took place in the Curtis Theatre in Cork School of Music on the 18th of December 2014. We welcomed pupils form Gaelscoil Ghort \u00c1lainn and Gaelscoil an Teaghlaigh Naofa to the event for the first time. All students of Col\u00e1site Daibh\u00e9id were present, apart from 3rd years who were diligently working on their science project in school. A vast array of talent was in evidence on stage, with a lively opening by the school orchestra, under the direction of In\u00edon U\u00ed Bhreac\u00e1in, our music teacher. There was much singing by students from 1st Year to 6th Year, as well as an appearance by Santa Claus! Janet U\u00ed Laoghaire, a former teacher in Col\u00e1iste Daibh\u00e9id who is now a published author, was welcomed back to read from her debut novel, An Encounter With the Number Twelve. The winner of CD Factor 2014, past pupil Glenn \u00d3 Duinshl\u00e9ibhe, was back as a guest judge and performed for us at the end. The prize-winners this year were: 3rd place: Kiara Nic Aidic\u00edn (Bliain 1), 2nd Place: 6th Year (with their production of Elf) and 1st Place: Niamh Nic Ruaidhr\u00ed (Bliain 2). Our thanks to the Organising Committee (from Transition Year) and their teacher, In\u00edon Nic Roibe\u00e1ird. Roll on CD Factor 2015!<\/p>\n
