Bh\u00ed Cian, Jessica agus Niamh \u00f3n gc\u00e9ad bhliain in ioma\u00edocht le dalta\u00ed \u00f3n tr\u00ed\u00fa bliain agus thug siad an-d\u00fashl\u00e1n don fhreas\u00fara. Bh\u00ed bliain a haon ar fad ann chun taca\u00edocht a thabhairt d\u00e1 gcairde agus \u00e9isteacht leis an dh\u00e1 uair an chloig d\u2019arg\u00f3int\u00ed agus bh\u00edomar an-bhr\u00f3d\u00fail as a gcuid iompar agus b\u00e9asa\u00ed. Bh\u00ed Cian, Jessica agus Niamh chomh maith sin go bhfuilimid ag s\u00fail le ruda\u00ed iontacha sa todhcha\u00ed! Fuair na dalta\u00ed teastais mar aitheantas d\u00e1 gcuid iarrachta\u00ed. Ghlac an fhoireann shinsearach p\u00e1irt ann sa chom\u00f3rtas freisin le r\u00fan deacair acu \u2013 gur cheart deireadh a chur le cuntas Twitter Donald Trump! Bh\u00ed dian-ioma\u00edocht ann idir na f\u00f3irne sinsearacha freisin \u00f3 na scoileanna c\u00e9anna agus bh\u00ed m\u00ed-\u00e1dh orthu gan dul ar aghaidh go dt\u00ed an ch\u00e9ad bhabhta eile. <\/p>\n
Well done to bliain a haon and the debating teams! Three from first year participated in the Gaelchol\u00e1ist\u00ed debating competition organised by Gael Linn. The debate was held in Limerick against Gaelchol\u00e1iste Luimnigh, Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiar\u00e1in, An Cheathr\u00fa Rua, Co. na Gaillimhe agus Col\u00e1iste Chro\u00ed Mhuire, An Spid\u00e9al, Co. na Gaillimhe. Cian, Jessica and Niamh from first year competed against native Irish speakers in third year and they certainly challenged the more experienced opposition. The first year students went to support their friends and listened to two hours of complex debating in Irish. Cian, Jessica and Niamh were so impressive that we are expecting great things in the future! All three received certificates in recognition of their effort. The senior debating team also participated in the competition and had a tough topic – that Donald Trump\u2019s Twitter account should be suspended! There was stiff competition between the teams from the same schools and they were unfortunate not to go on to the next round.<\/p>\n
