What a great morning on Friday December 16th! Recently won by Cork City FC, we welcomed the FAI Cup to the school. We were honoured to welcome back our former teacher, Michael McSweeney, and his fellow defender, John Kavanagh, who won the Cup with City. The lecture theatre was full to the brim as we listened to our guests regale us with tales of training, playing and winning as well as general skills for life. Michael and John were more than happy to answer questions from our students and we had a highly entertaining and beneficial morning with them. We are very grateful to the club, Cork City FC, for allowing the Cup to come to us as well as Michael and John for their time. We very much look forward to welcoming back the FAI Cup or even the Airtricity League Trophy(!) in the near future. Our thanks to Deputy Principal, M\u00e1istir \u00d3 S\u00edodhch\u00e1in, for organising the event. City Ab\u00fa!<\/p>\n
